Blessings plus day 3

Today I had a very hard time seeing my blessings. I did not have a very good day today. Maybe  because I did not sleep good and I woke up tired, and the kids in my class were off the hook. I tried to make the best of it but it did not work. My frustrations just got in the way. Just as I was giving up on finding just one blessing, my blessing came to me while I was talking to my friend Ruth in the form of a little girl crying. As strange as this may sound it is true. So here is my blessings for today.

                              1.Hair in the mouth.

                             2. Every morning when my son gets ups he always tells me the month, the date and the day of the week. and then he says good morning mom.

                             3. When I picked up my daughter from school she asked me how my day was... I told her she said " mommy I love you!! is that a blessing?"

                           4. When my sister calls me and leaves me a message that says " hey was just thinking about you hope you are okay, love you"

                          5. My Life Group

                         6. Frozen yogurt and or Ice cream it makes me feel like a kid.

                        7. The sweet way Hannah told me how she told everyone in her class my age (50) and then she said no one believed her because I looked 39 or something. (I love those kids)

                       8. The way my kids love to camp out on my living room floor.

                       9. Getting into my warm cozy pjs

                     10. The bed to myself.

No matter how hard your day, no matter what you might be going through, you can always find a blessing or two. Thank you Lord for helping me look beyond my frustrations so I don't miss the blessings that you have for me and my family.. Lets see what tomorrows will be.

Blessings plus day 2

Well here I am on my second day of my blessing plus blog. I find it quit  interesting how many blessings I have in a day. Some are as simple as little feet running and others more complex like the rays of the sun coming through the clouds. As I reflect on the day and thank God for all my blessings, I am reminded once again how wonderful and awesome God is and how grateful I am that He is in my life and my family's life.

                                  1. My son pulling the covers over his head and asking for 5 more minutes

                                 2. My 13 yr. old asking me to do her hair.

                                3. My kittens curiosity about everything.

                               4. Pastor Yohn doing chapel every Thursday with our pre-schoolers.

                              5. The sound of the rain.

                             6. Getting a bunch of leaves and being told that they are your flower because we love you.

                             7. Running into an old friend and catching up on our lives.

                             8. The Sound of a new born baby's cry

                            9. Paying all the bills and having money left.

                           10. Listening to my kids pray.

Well these are my 10 for tonight. I pray that God has blessed you as much as he has blessed me.

My dear friend Ruth started a blessing post on her blog. She had started one once before and I said "oh I should do that too" and never did. I am so bad about remembering to even blog. So now I am going to give it a try. I will try to write some blessings down everyday. Lol... that is if I remember.   Thanks Ruth for reminding me of the blessings that this life has to give.  Praise the Lord that they will always, always out way the bad..
                                       1. Listening to my son sing "When you wish upon a star" so sweetly and how proud and innocence he looks while he sings it.

                                      2.  The look on Hannah's face when she has  figured out a math problem she is having trouble with.

                                     3. Chicken and fries

                                     4. The kisses I get from my son when he wants something...

                                     5. The text messages from my honey wishing me a good day and telling me he loves me.

God gives us strength

Wow can you believe that it is already November? Time sure goes by fast. School has been in for 9 weeks already (that is 45 days).
Everything was going so well for both of my kids. Some of the normal stuff for Hannah... not doing all of her assignments or just not turning them in on time. Working so slow and for Hannah that can be pretty normal. She works slow until she understands what she is doing.
Nathaniel well he was doing really good. He was going into the cafeteria everyday for lunch and going to the assembles. All going so great until this last week when they had a fire drill. The fire drill was not so bad. He had a small melt down but over came it like a champ. It was the next day when he was in the bathroom and an emergency bell went off scared him half to death. The school called me because he was screaming and refusing to stop crying for over an hour. He had a hard time going back to class and calming down. Even when I was talking to him on phone he would not calm down.  I call my husband and said go get Nathaniel he is having a melt down. I explained what happen. He went and got him.  When Robert got there Nathaniel was calm and eating lunch with the teacher, all the other kids had gone to lunch and it was just him and the teacher. Nathaniel was eating lunch and was reading a book.  Since then Nathaniel refuses to go into the cafeteria for lunch he wants to eat in the classroom or the office with the V. Principal I am at a lost of what to do. He is afraid and does not want to go in there. So everyday we pray and talk about being brave and unafraid and that God is with him and will take good care of him. Everyday he says okay he is going to brave, well we are still praying. Any suggestions would be great.
Some days are more challenging then others, but I would not trade then for the world.
Hannah she is so good. She is 13 and can be a little mouthy and have a little attitude that makes me wish I could turn her into a 7 yrs. old again ...Lol   But I love when she reminds me that I am not alone, God will help me get through this for he is our strength and our Rock. Call out to him and he will be there. Do you love it???   Who can ask for a better Daughter then that..
Until the next time..

Spring Break Vacation

Our family took a Spring Break Vacation. We had so much fun. We stayed closed to home for lots of reasons but the most important one is because Nathaniel was still not feeling well. Just a week before Nathaniel had been very sick a very bad cold, double ear infection and a high fever to boot.  Because Nathaniel could have a seizure from being sick we decieded to stay close to home.
We had a great time. We went to the Jelly Belly Factory. After standing in line for 20 to25 mins. then go up stairs have our picture taken and stop at the first window screen, and then to have Nathaniel freak out and run down the stars. our tour was over. And I was going to really enjoy this tour..:) Oh well!
We went to the movies and saw Rio. So cute.  We visited my sister and her family and then we went to visit Grandpa. We really did have a great time.
We found the coolist park ever. And while we were there we found the awesomes critter of all time.

A mole. He was so small, so soft and soooooooooooo cute. He was wandering around on the play gound. I felt so bad for him. I tried to put him back into the bushes, but no matter how I tried he kept coming out on to the play ground. so my sister and I put him on the grass to see what he would do. He did nothing. not moved nothing. So just before we left we put him back into the bushes. I pray that he is safe and with his or maybe her family :)

Wow how time flies.

I can't believe that it is already May 1st. We have played about 5 games since our opening day in March. I am just posting some pictures.  Sorry!! We are the Challengers White Sox. This year all the kids seem to be so excited and ready to play baseball. Even Nathaniel. This year he has worn the whole uniform the pants, socks, shirt, hat and baseball mitt. He has even shown more interest in the game.  Nathaniel usually stands in the outfield  looking at the ground, at the dandelions or he just sits on the grass. This year he actually ran into the infield after a ball and thru it to the couch (pitcher). He has shown more baseball ready as he calls it, more then ever before. Oh my how grown and more mature he has become. I am so proud of him.

These are picture of Nathaniel before his first game in his whole uniform.

Just look at that smile on this face..
So happy and so excited.

Nathaniel showing off his best pose..

Nathaniel hitting the ball. He was so excited because he hit the
ball of the pitch not the tee.

Nathaniel on first base.
Nathaniel kept telling me that he hit a home run.
Yeah Nathaniel!!!!
Nathaniel playing in the outfield. Moving in closer to the infield, So he can get the ball.
Even Hannah got to play in a couple of the games. She even got to help out on another team. The other team did not have enough players so Hannah went over and helped them out and played on their team.
What a wonderful and beautiful girl Hannah is. I am so proud of her.

Catching up

Wow I can't believe that it has been so long since my last blog.
Well my life has been busy, these last few months. The kids went back to school at the end of August. Nathaniel started out his school year pretty rough, trying to readjust to the new routines.
Hannah started intermediate school and she adjusted pretty well.
Everything was going well until my Husband and I separated for a couple of months. That just through a wrench into everything. Nathaniel already having a hard time and Hannah now worrying if we were going to get
a divorce. This made my life even harder then ever. Now I have no home support and my kids acting out what was I going to do???  The answer is and was  PRAY!
Pray for my marriage, pray for my husband, pray for my kids, pray for myself. Pray for peace, pray for calmness, pray for resolutions, Pray Gods will. Pray, Pray, Pray.
Just to let you know God does answer prayers. He restored my marriage, he restored my husband and myself, he gave me peace and calmness for my kids and my home.
After 2 months my husband came home, we are still working on things but this time we are working them out together.
Hannah and Nathaniel are doing really good.
Christmas came and went with the kids getting everything they asked for. Oh my what was I thinking when we got the Wii.. lol  Don't get me wrong I love playing the Wii,  Mario Kart is my favorite.:) However Nathaniel wants to play it everyday...
Now we are in March, my, the months move by so fast..
Today was Opening Day for Baseball, we are all so excited. Our first game is tomorrow. Hopefully there will be no rain. I will be posting pictures of our first game.. I can't t wait.
